Each year we select a powerful & poignant film with the trust that it will alter movie-goers' perspectives on the world. We look for films that might not otherwise be screened in Northern Michigan. In our first year we screened The Take by Avi Lewis, and in 2006 we screened Favela Rising & When Fried Eggs Fly.

For the second year in a row we visited South America with our film night. Favela Rising was a powerful choice.
